You do not connect your Instagram account through this viewer, so you are not opening the story under your own Instagram login here. This is different from viewing it while signed into Instagram. It is not a guarantee of complete online anonymity or a claim that your browser and network activity are hidden.

No. Entering a username does not change the account’s privacy settings or give access to restricted stories. Private profiles and Close Friends content cannot be opened with this viewer. A private-profile message is different from a temporary loading error.

Open the story photo or video and choose Download when the button is available. Your browser saves the file to your device. If the file does not open or the link has expired, refresh the profile and try the item again. Downloading cannot restore a story that is no longer available.

Yes. Choose View Reels, enter the profile’s username and open an available clip. Reels will be selected first, even when the profile also has stories. Play the clip to check it, then use its Download button to save the available file. You can switch to another format without entering the username again.

Open Highlights to see the story photos and videos the profile owner has kept. An expired story may still be there, but Highlights are not a full history of the account. StoriesIG cannot recover a deleted story or an expired item that is no longer accessible.

Choose Photos or Posts, open the image you need and select Download when offered. Available carousel photos and videos can be opened separately, so you can keep one item rather than the whole collection. You receive the media file rather than a screenshot of the page.

Yes, when those items are available. An empty Stories tab does not mean that every other category is empty. Choose Posts for feed content or Videos for video files. The viewer keeps the category you selected; it does not silently switch you to a different format.

Yes. Use a current browser on an iPhone, Android phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer with JavaScript enabled. There is no app or browser extension to install. The location of saved files depends on the browser and device you use.

Either works. Enter the exact username with or without @, or paste a profile link such as instagram.com/username. Use the username rather than the display name. This field accepts profile links, not direct links to an individual story, Reel or post.

If the profile loads but the Stories tab is empty, no story items were returned for that request. The account may have no current stories, or an item may no longer be available. Try Highlights, Reels or Posts. If an error message appears instead, follow that message before assuming the account has no stories.

Results load when you open a profile or select Refresh results. They do not update continuously, and a new Instagram item may not appear immediately. Refreshing requests the profile again; it does not guarantee a newer copy or recover deleted content. The time shown beside the profile is when this page loaded its results, not the original publication time.

Do not assume unlimited access. If the service asks you to wait, pause before making another request; when it supplies a waiting time, the viewer shows it. Check your connection and the username first. A timeout, unavailable media link or temporary service problem can interrupt loading. Refresh the results to request the profile again. A loading error does not prove that an account or file was deleted. If a waiting time is displayed, let it finish before retrying.

Check your browser’s download list, your Downloads folder or the location you selected when saving. On a phone, the file may be in a file-management app rather than your photo gallery. Check those places before downloading a second copy.

The file includes the sound present in the version provided to the viewer. Play the clip before downloading to check its audio. If that version is silent or has a different track, saving it will not restore missing sound or change the track.

You receive the resolution and file format of the available version. The viewer does not add missing detail or promise a particular resolution for every item. Preview the file before saving. When backing up your own work, keep the original photos and videos as well.

This page does not create a saved profile history in your browser. The username is sent to the service to request a profile, so using the viewer without an Instagram login does not mean that no data is processed. Read the Privacy Policy for information about server-side handling and retention.

Saving a file is not permission to republish it. Use your own content or obtain permission from the creator before reusing someone else’s photos, clips or stories. Follow any agreed conditions, including credit where required. The download button does not transfer ownership of the content.
